I can provide support if you are intending to take the IELTS exam , or if you are just thinking of practising with the intention of taking it in the future
A typical IELTS lesson might be structured like this over three hours of teaching (although timings can be flexible, depending on the students individual needs).
In addition, an assessment of the student’s English needs will be taken before starting and a plan of study agreed
Revision sessions can be built into the course.
-----------
Speaking and Vocabulary practice
30 minutes - Vocabulary practice and consolidation
30 minutes - Speaking and fluency practice, using vocabulary
Listening and Reading skills practice (length of task depends on student’s experience).
15-35 minutes for a reading task (with practice of study skills built into this)
15-25 minutes for a listening task (with practice of study skills built into this)
The additional study skills are designed to build up the student’s awareness of the IELTS exam, particularly to increase their awareness of different question types and different techniques that can be applied to increase skills in listening and reading
--------------
Writing practice (length of task depends on student’s experience)
Exam tasks can be 20 minutes (Part 1 - bar chart, line, graph, table, multiple statistics, process diagram, maps, before and after diagrams)
40 minutes (Part 2) IELTS essay. - The essay component can be linked to vocabulary practice to increase fluency and/or extra hours allocated to build study skills to allow preparation for this activity

General information
Skills components (Speaking, Vocabulary, Listening, Reading and Writing) can be combined if more than one hour is required per session (up to three hours in total) and will be linked to a common theme
Typical themes for IELTS lessons are related to the kinds of questions students may encounter in the exam
